2nd Asian Pencak Silat Championships 2016


Southeast Asian countries emerged as winners at the 2nd Asian Pencak Silat Championships 2016 held in Singapore from June 3 to June 5. 

Overall Champion goes to Vietnam with 13 Gold, 6 Silver and 4 Bronze medals.While the 1st Runner Up goes to Team Singapore with 8 Gold, 9 Silver and 6 Bronze medals. They are followed byThailand with 2 Gold, 5 Silver and 6 Bronze medals.

At the tournament, Best Male Athlete was awarded to Muhammad Nur Alfian Juma'en of Singapore while the Best Female Athlete was given to another Singaporean Nurul Suhaila Mohd Saiful. 

Twelve (12) nations participated in this championships. These were Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Indonesia, India, Iran, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, Uzbekistan and Vietnam

Southeast Asian countries who were unable to compete in this competition where Brunei, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines and Timor Leste.
