2017 FINA Diving World Series - 1st Leg

The 2017 FINA Diving World Series has four (4) legs. The first leg was held in Beijing China between March 3 and March 5. And some of our Southeast Asian athletes competed in this first leg.

The Malaysian tandem of Jun Hoong Cheong and Pandelela Pamg competed in this first leg and won silver medal in the women's synchronized 10m platform. A total of 316.08 points was accumulated by the Malaysian duo behind China's divers who scored 340.26. The bronze medal went to North Korea's divers who scored 313.92 points.   
Other Malaysian diver who participated in this leg was Yan Yee Ng who competed in women's 3m springboard. She scored 280.50 points in semi-final A and was not able to reach in the final event. She also competed in the women's synchronized 3m springboard with Nur Dhabitah Binti as her partner. They placed 6th with a total score of 268.62 points.

In the women's 10m platform, Pandelela Pamg and Nur Dhabitah Binti were not able to reach in the final event. They scored 308.35 points and 305.95 points respectively in two separate semi-final events
The second series is now being held in Guangzhou, China while the third leg will be held Kazan, Russia from March 31 to April 2. And last leg will be held in Windsor, Canada between April 21 and 23.
