2017 FINA Diving World Series - 2nd Leg

The second leg of 2017 FINA Diving World Series was held in Guangzhou, China from March 9 to March 11.  

Southeast Asian diving powerhouse Malaysia competed in the three-day tourney against some of the best divers in the world. And as expected to do a podium finish were the tandem of Jun Hoong Cheong and Pandelela Pamg in the women's synchronized 10m platform event. They gathered a total points of 332.46, enough to win a bronze medal. They were behind China and North Korean divers. 

In the first leg of the series, Jun Hoong Cheong and Pandelela Pamg won silver medal in the same event.

In the women's synchronized 3m springboard event, the duo of Nur Dhabitah Binti Sabri and Yan Yee Ng registered a total of 301.98 points. The accumulated score by the duo was not enough to put them in a podium finish. The duo settled in fourth place behind China, Australia and Canada. 

Yan Yee Ng also competed in the women's 3m springboard. She made it to the finals after scoring 315.75 points in the semi-finals (A). In the 6-woman finals of the said event, she placed last with a score of 314.15. 

For the women's 10m platform, Pandelela Pamg and Nur Dhabitah Binti Sabri competed in this event. Their semi-final scores were 338.35 and 302.10  points. Both divers were unable to qualify for the finals.
