🏐 Thailand and Vietnam Going to World Volleyball Championships Qualification

The road to the 2018 FIVB Volleyball Championships for Men and Women already ignited when the draw happened at the Dusit Princess Srinakarin Hotel in Bangkok two days ago.

Two countries from Southeast Asia will take part of the qualification round for Asian zone. These are Vietnam and Thailand. Vietnam team will only compete in the women's event while Southeast Asian powerhouse Thailand will compete in both men's and women's events. 

For men's event, Thailand was drawn in Pool B together with New Zealand, Japan, Chinese Taipei and host Australia. The volleyball war of Pool B is scheduled on July 12 to 16, 2017.  While in Pool A, China, Korea, Qatar and a qualified team from Central Asia will collide with host Iran from August 10 to 14 in the capital city of Tehran. 
Only the top two teams from both pools will qualified for the 24-team FIVB Men's Volleyball Championship 2018 which will be held by co-hosted Italy (finals) and Bulgaria between September 10 and 30 in 2018. 

For the women's side, Thailand will host Pool B Asian zone qualification from September 20 to 24, 2017. Aside from the host, Pool B is composed of Korea, DPR Korea, Iran and our Southeast Asian team Vietnam. On the other pool, China, Chinese Taipei, Australia and Fiji will collide with host Kazakhstan. 

Same with the men's event, only the top two teams from both pools will advance in the final round to be held in Japan from September 30 to October 21 in 2018.
