🏸 YONEX Polish Open 2017

Two championship titles were won by our Southeast Asian badminton players at the recently concluded YONEX Polish Open 2017. 

Malaysia's Jian Wei Tan captured the men's singles event title defeating Brazilian Ygor Coelho 21-13, 20-22 and 21-10 in the finals. Before going to the finals, Tan defeated Toby Penty of England in the semifinals, 21-14 and 21-15.

Meanwhile Indonesian tandem of Yulfira Barkah and Meirisa Cindy Sahputri defeated the duo of Hsin Tien Chang and Chien Hui Yu of Chinese Taipei in the finals. The red and white team duo finished the match in 2-1 sets, 21-12, 14-21 and 21-14.

Also, another Malaysian player Ying Ying Lee reached the finals of the women's singles event. Unfortunately, she was beaten by Japan's Yui Hashimoto, 13-21, 21-19 and 21-10. In the same event, Indonesian Hanna Ramadini reached the semifinals but was defeated by Hashimoto, 21-17 and 21-13. 
This tournament was held from March 23 to 26.
